1. Who we are
Nutrivo is a free, ad-supported calorie tracker. This policy explains what information we handle when you use the website and the AI photo scanner.
2. Data stored on your device
Your meals, daily totals, goals and scan credits are stored locally in your browser (localStorage). We do not have accounts, and this data is never uploaded to a Nutrivo database. Clearing your browser storage permanently deletes your history.
3. Meal photos and AI processing
When you scan a meal, the photo is sent to our server and forwarded to a third-party AI model provider purely to estimate the food and its nutrition. Photos are processed in memory to produce that estimate and are not stored on our servers or used by us to train models. The thumbnail you see in your log stays on your device.
4. Advertising
Nutrivo is funded by advertising shown as a banner placement on the homepage. Ad partners may set cookies or similar identifiers to measure performance and limit repeated ads. Where required by law you will be shown a consent choice before personalised advertising cookies are set, and you can withdraw consent at any time through your browser settings.
5. Analytics and logs
Our hosting provider records standard technical logs such as IP address, browser type and requested page for security and abuse prevention. These logs are kept for a limited period and are not used to build advertising profiles by us.
6. Children
Nutrivo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
7. Your choices
You can delete any meal or your entire history from inside the tracker, block cookies in your browser, and stop using the photo scanner at any time. Because we do not operate accounts, we usually hold no personal data to export or erase on request.
